Karnataka Government is planning to set up a textile park in Chamarajnagar district in Karnataka. The district which covers border of Kerala and Tamil Nadu is backward with few industries. The state government has acquired 1500 acres of land and has set up a single window clearance to clear 94 projects with Rs 1,620 million as combined investment. The major investment has come from Sutlej Textile Industries which is investing ₹ 7860 million, where it has been allotted around 46 acres of land.
