Karnataka Government receives Rs. 10 billion for textile units

Karnataka government is set to receive Rs. 10 billion as package aid to revive its textile sector unit. Currently, it is setting up a textile park in Doddaballapur near Bangalore and Yadgir in north Karnataka. The funds will be used to increase minimum wages of weavers, training and for development of textile parks. It will also use the funds to revive 9 co-operative spinning mills.
