Interim Anti-dumping duty imposed on VSF

Viscose Staple Fibre, a man made fibre made by wet spinning technology is being imported in large quantities from China and Indonesia and also involves selling at price below cost here. On application from “Association of Man Made Fibre industry of India” AMFII), the designated authority at commerce ministry has imposed an anti-dumping duty of $0.127 a kg of VSF excluding bamboo imported from Indonesia producer/exporter PT South Pacific Viscose. For others in Indonesia, the anti-dumping duty is $0.760 a kg. For the case of China, an anti-dumping duty of $0.199 and the same amount for import of the subject goods that originated from China.
