Indian government has imposed an anti-dumping duty ranging between USD 128.06 per tonne and USD 719.44 per tonne for five years on import of nylon filament yarn from Vietnam and the European Union. DGTR , the Directorate General of Trade Remedies have investigated the dumping charge and recommended the above duties.
Indian companies like JCT, Prafful Overseas, Gujarat Polyfilms, AYM Syntex and Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals (GSFC) have claimed that imports of nylon filament yarn have been increased from 7201 tonnes to 13,799 tonnes over the last two years.
The anti dumping duty comes into effect from October 6th of 2018 and will remain in force for a period of five years. The anti dumping duty will be paid local currency that is in INR.
