Sunflag Filaments Ltd started its operations in the year 1988 with its registered office in the state of Maharashtra. The name of the company was changed from Sunflag Filaments Private Limited to Sunflag Filaments Limited in 1992. In 1993, the registered office of the company was shifted from the state of Maharashtra to Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli in order to avail tax benefits. The company manufactures texturised yarn, knitted fabrics and home furnishing fabrics. The company is a closely held public limited company and a part
of the Shree Venkateshwara Group (SVG).
The SVG group was promoted by Mr. Satyanarayan H. Agarwal in 1978, while SFL was promoted by Mr. Sandeep S. Agarwal (son of Shri Satyanarayan H. Agarwal). The company operates with a total of four plants – three in Silvassa and one in Daman. The main plant is located in Daman.
