Textile Industry to set up yarn bank

Surat Textile Industry, the yarn capital of India is planning to set up a Yarn Bank under the guidance of Union Ministry of Textiles. It will assist yarn buyers to procure at discount besides promoting innovation. Currently, producers are not aware of the special yarn needs. Developing a yarn bank – which will house every kind of yarn from around the world will help producers to innovate to the needs of designers. Besides helping producers, it also will eliminate yarn brokers from the industry.
