US Apparel Giant has talked with Indian retailers Reliance, Future Group, and Nuvo without any conclusive deals. The US based company had been toying with venturing into India for some time. It has a strong sourcing base from India from Arvind, Gokaldas etc., It has also has good brand power for its Banana Republic, Athleta etc., Since 51% FDI is permitted in retail it can enter alone but is looking for partner with powerful presence. Spainsh clothing major has ventured into India with Tata Group and is opening Zara stores
