Shabnam Petrofils is planning to expand its Partially Oriented Yarn (POY) manufacturing unit in Karmala village in Surat district of Gujarat. The capacity to be augmented from 3,000 TPM to 4,500 TPM. The project involves expansion on the existing land area of 32,679.00 sq. mtrs. The company is manufacturing existing product POY from polyester chips. As part of the expansion, the company will manufacture POY from PTA. The estimated capital cost of the project is Rs. 500.7 million. Additional power requirement for the project will be 1,400 KW, which will be procured from DGVCL.
