Raymond has set up a linen manufacturing plant at Amravati in Maharashtra. The new facility has the capacity to produce 1,200 tonnes of linen yarns and 4.8 million meters of linen and blended fabrics per annum. The project cost was estimated at Rs. 2500 million. The plant was set up under the company’s subsidiary Raymond Luxury Cottons Ltd. About 70 per cent will go for Raymond’s own consumption and the remaining will go to domestic and international markets.
