IIT scientists are involved in a big way in designing technical fabrics apart from fashion designers. These technical textiles also churn out lifestyle products, sports wear. With cost of production high in Europe and Indian industry matching with technical expertise, slowly even these high end products are moving to India and other south east Asian countries
