Gujarat Garmet Manufacturers Association (GGMA) plans apparel park in Ahmedabad with an investment of Rs. 1500 million. Majority of the members of the body have evinced interest to set up units in the new park, which is to come up at old city area (at Ambica Mills). Construction work on the project will begin by November 2009 and is likely to be completed by two years time. Apart from the current venture, the association body has sought government four more such domestic apparel parks.
