Welspun India, is planning to invest Rs. 3000 million to streamline its operations. It will increase its manufacturing capacity of towels, bed linens and rugs at its Anjar and Vapi in the state of Gujarat. It will increase the towel production capacity from 41500 to 45000 tpa, bed linen from 45 million meters to 52.5 million meters and rugs from 8 million pieces to 10 million pieces. It is funding the programme through qualified institutional placements (QIP) to the tune of Rs.1560 million.
