Arvind Ltd and Adient has announced a joint venture to develop, manufacture and sell automotive fabrics in India. In the joint venture, Adient will have the majority stakeholder with 50.5 per cent share, rest being with the Indian partner. The venture will manufacture high-end performance fabrics for automotive seating systems. The company Arvind is also looking to extend textile manufacturing into newer frontiers outside of fashion and into various spaces like human protection, construction and transport.
