Filatex India is planning an expansion programme at its plant in Dahej in Gujarat. The project involves expanding production capacity from 3,28,300 tpa to 3,68,000 tpa . The company has initiated a debottlenecking of polymer capacity from 900 to 1,050 MT/day along with addition of POY capacity of 61,000 TPA and texturizing capacity of 72,000 TPA.
The project cost is estimated at ₹ 2,750 million.
The project also involves setting up of a captive power plant of 25 MW with an investment of ₹ 1,000 million and a solar PV Power plant of 2.5 MW with an investment of ₹ 1,20 million.
