Grasim Industries is setting up a VSF (viscose staple fibre – a man made biodegradable fibre) manufacturing plant in Vilayat village in Bharuch district of Gujarat with an investment of Rs. 18,000 million. The manufacturing facility will have a capacity of 1.20 lakh tpa. The project is likely to go operational in March 2013. It may be noted, Grasim has 3 more VSF plants at Harihar (Karnataka), Nagda(Madhya Pradesh) and Kharach in Gujarat.
